Has everyone been remembering to go check out Cond Has everyone been remembering to go check out Condor? Get out there! @name_and_number was out there yesterday doing some storm cleanup and the trail is looking great! Here’s a beautiful day on Condor back in December with the best dude @pedalhomie shooting Lowelifes volunteers @stepho_ and @hannah_g1rl enjoying the fruits of their labor.

We worked year-round on Angeles National Forest trails, finished our inaugural project on the Condor Peak Trail, and dove deep into a growing list of trail restorations within the Bobcat Fire burn zone.” Reflect on Lowelifes accomplishments in 2022 in a new article up on our website - LINK IN BIO.

New tees, koozies, and stickers just landed in our New tees, koozies, and stickers just landed in our Big Cartel store *LINK IN BIO* Our chainsaw short sleeve worn here by Carla and Sean from @itsnotabikeshop featuring custom Lowelifes drip by @evan.weselmann 🔥. Worth mentioning: six beverages snuggled up in our Lowelifes chainsaw koozies fit perfectly in a @randijofab Big MUT and transport flawlessly when fashioned with a @oldmanmountainracks Elkhorn rack! 🥳
This past Thursday and Friday we scooted around th This past Thursday and Friday we scooted around the Forest on bikes like we do and got some work done. Swipe ⬅️ to see the action!

Thursday we cleared all the trees, did brushing, and tackled a slide on Strawberry from Red Box to the Colby junction then Colby all the way to Highway 2. Friday we did tread work and brushing a little over 2 miles down on Kenyon Devore and cleared a tree with hand saws on the Gabrielino near Valley Forge. With another storm unleashing on the mountains as we speak, I’m sure there’s some new projects out there. It’s gonna be a busy year out there 💦.

Donuts, babka, cinnamon roll tarts, custom koozies Donuts, babka, cinnamon roll tarts, custom koozies, bikepacking, backpacking, stream crossing, backcountry, trail camp, trail work, harness, rope, webbing, power tools, @rogue_hoes_by_prohoemfg , @oldmanmountainracks , BOB trailers, @robertaxleproject , tacos, tortillas a mano, asada, pollo, chorizo, soyrizo, guacamole, Dutch apple pie, campout, campfire, volunteer, trail stewardship, singletrack, no car access… and a bunch of other stuff! Another Lowelifes stewardship campout in the books! We have just about wrapped up our work in the canyon bottom section of Silver Moccasin “Shortcut” segment. Many areas have such heavy erosion from flash floods, it will take years to stabilize. Next month we will begin working downhill from the top at Shortcut Saddle.
We finished up the New Year working on Kenyon Devo We finished up the New Year working on Kenyon Devore. One year ago we started our work within the Bobcat Fire Closure. At the same time, we were completing a nearly 6,000 hour restoration on the 10-mile Condor Peak Trail. 1,500 hours of progress has been made on Gabrielino, Silver Moccasin, and Kenyon Devore within the Bobcat burn scar. It has been a huge year for growth for the organization. We won multiple grants and started a cost sharing agreement with the @u.s.forestservice. We intend to use this momentum to achieve even bigger milestones in 2023. None of this would have been possible without your support. Big thanks to our sponsors @robertaxleproject @oldmanmountainracks @athleticbrewing @blackburndesign and local bike shops @letsridecyclery @itsnotabikeshop and RIP💔 @goldensaddlecyclery for lifting us up and supporting us in so many ways. Thank you! Here’s just a few portraits of some of our hard working volunteers. NOTHING would happen without these folks and we are eternally grateful for y’all joining us in this adventure.

Proper PPE is important whether you’re working t Proper PPE is important whether you’re working trails or cooking tacos! @pedalhomie got some snaps of the crew at our last campout. Thanks Eric!!! For finding the time to hang with us even tho you were busy planning that big road trip to your family’s hometown! Y’all should check out Eric’s profile to see some beautiful images from Durango, Mexico! Do you know what a jaguarundi or a onza is?
Katy and Chris from Oregon based @robertaxleprojec Katy and Chris from Oregon based @robertaxleproject and @oldmanmountainracks rolled through LA and linked up with us to ride Condor. They have been supporting our efforts in the Angeles National Forest for years. If you work on trails you probably own a BOB trailer to move tools, and rely on their axles to attach it to your bike. We also use Old Man Mountain racks to attach everything from chainsaws and rotohammers to radio repeaters and rock bars and everything in between… like our camping gear. Katy and Chris were both board members of COTA in the past and have an intimate respect and understanding for volunteer trail orgs who work to improve public lands. They are the real deal and we are so grateful for their support! Their companies have supported us more than any other multi-million dollar bike industry company has. #realheads #respect
A backcountry campout to remember! @erikhillard ha A backcountry campout to remember! @erikhillard hauled in a new addition to our tool stash… the tortilla press. Nearly as important as a Rogue 55HRH, we all agreed that there’s no turning back… handmade tortillas is how we roll now! We had asada, pollo, and soyrizo tacos with handmade tortillas, homemade guac, pico de gallo, queso Oaxaca, and 3 different hot sauces to choose from! 🔥Here’s some random snaps taken by new volunteer @castironjake of this past weekends stewardship campout at West Fork working Silver Moccasin.
